Practice breathing through your diaphragm. Put your hands on your stomach and breathe deeply so that your hands move out when you inhale and move back in when you exhale.
If your hands are not moving and only your shoulders and chest move when you breathe deeply, you are engaging in shallow, less relaxing breathing. You can easily teach yourself to breath through your diaphragm with practice.
